Q: I’ve been told a snack of few plain almonds a day is good for me. I’m a 58 year old female diabetic with heart stents & a defibrillator taking Coumadin. In the past I’ve had a handful a day. Are Vitamin K levels low or high in almonds?

Q: I have to ask if you think it is wise to propose using aluminum foil at all given the possibility of it perhaps, after long usage, contributing to Alzheimer’s? Apparently there is some concern about pots made from aluminum.
A: There does not appear to be a link between use of aluminum foil or aluminum pots and pans with Alzheimer’s Disease. In the late 1980’s….
